About Hod

The Department is headed by Prof. P. Niranjan Reddy.  

He completed his B.Tech(ECE) & M.Tech(Advanced Electronics) from IIT Madras. He had been Research Scholar in IIT Madras for 3 Years(1968-1970).  

He started his career in ISRO as Head of the Range Instrumentation Division, SHAR Centre, Sriharikota, Nellore and served during 1970-1982. He possessed the following responsibilities in ISRO such as 1. Planning, installation and operations of Range instrumentations facilities for satellite launch vehicle complexes 2. Chief of instrumentations for SLV-3 Launch program 3. Involved in the establishment of communication link between Sriharikota, Bangalore and USSR for Aryabatta Satellite machine 4. Responsible for establishing & operating satellite tracking station at Fiji Island for Apple satellite. He continued his Service as General Manager, Andhra Pradesh Electronic Development Corporation during 1982-1998. He has been working as a Professor and Head in STIAMS since 2001. 

He has teaching, research and industrial experience of 43 years.
