Introduction

The Computer Science & Engineering ( CSE ) department of Sreenivasa Institute of Technology and Management Studies is one of the first Departments established in 1998 with the approval of AICTE.

The department is headed by Prof.S. Naseera Kareem with a team of 19 dedicated faculty members out of which 9 are post graduates and the rest are graduates in computer science & Engineering.

B.TECH (Computer Science and Engineering)

Growth:

The department has grown steadily over the years from an intake of just 40 students in 1998 to 60 students in 1999 and currently 90 students. The fundamental belief for us is that “Growth is Life” and we have to grow all times.
Labs:

The department has 6 well equipped Computer Laboratories Viz Multimedia Lab, DBMS Lab, Case Tools Lab, Programming in UNIX, Data Structures, Computer Networks, Object Oriented Programming Lab, Internet Lab, Communication & Soft skill Lab & IT Workshop Lab.
Projects:

The department has developed a Software “Academic Information & Management System (AIMS)” for the college academic activities which includes modules for Library Management, Student Attendance Report, Students Feedback and On-line exam. The department has got very good interaction with other departments in conducting inter- disciplinary and career related programs for the students.

The department is also assisting the students in doing projects on latest technologies like .NET, J2EE Technologies, Oracle Applications, and Data Warehousing etc.
Placements and Interaction:

Our students are successful in securing the jobs in the top companies like Infosys, TCS, Sathyam, Wipro, IBM etc. The department also wants to bridge the gap between academia and Industry and in this direction we conduct programs for Personality Development, Communication Skills, Group Discussions and Mock Interviews. In association with leading industries we offer technical training and hands on experience in emerging technologies.
