Student Development Activities

A National Level Students Technical Fest by name TARANG2K6 was conducted by SITAMS on 13th and 14th October 2006, TARANG2K6 a Technical wave aimed at bringing the young talents of the country together as a plat-form where in they can prove their mettle and share their knowledge. It has been wonderful events with colorful participation of participants taking part in all the events. the events are Gnan Darshan(Technical Paper Presentation), Agni(Quiz), Ananth(Debate) and Prabhav.

Co-Curricular Activities

A two day Leader Ship Training Camp was conducted on 3rd & 4th March 2006. Mr. Galla Ramachandra Naidu, Chairman, Amara Raja Batteries, Tirupati & Mr. Siva Mohan Reddy, Executive Director,
Nutrine Confectionary Company Pvt. Ltd., Chittoor and other eminent industrialists participated in the programme.
Prof. K. Raja Gopal, Vice-Chancellor, J.N.T. University has visited our institution on 10th August, 2006 and discussed some important programs with Management, Heads of the Departments and Staff.
Tech’06, an intra college competitions was conducted for B.Tech students in March 2006.
A National Level seminar was conducted by CSE Dept. on 15th August 2005.
ECE Department organized a two day national seminar and conference with paper presentation, technical quiz, project exhibition and debate on 3 & 4 March 2005. More than 20 colleges have participated in this seminar.
A national level management paper presentation (PROTRUDE) was organized in the Dept. of MBA on 10th September, 2005. 32 Papers were presented from the students of various colleges in the Seminar.
Workshop on “Issues & Challenges of Fruit processing units in and around Chittoor” was jointly organized by SITAMS , Chittoor District Fruit Processors Federation and APEDA, New Delhi on 6th & 7th December, 2004.
Five workshops on “ interviews and group discussions “ were conducted for B.Tech, MBA and MCA students during 2005-2006. Experts from Samedeutz Fahr India (P) Ltd. , Ranipet, Nutrine Confectionary Company (P)Ltd., Chittoor, S.V.University, Tirupati, Zealot Technologies Ltd., Pondichery participated in the workshops.
Sri A.K.Pattabhi Raman, Placement Officer from TCS, Chennai visited the college on 31st December 2005 and has given a seminar on ‘Employability of Students in Software Industry’ to B.Tech students.

Extra Curricular Activities

SITAMS has a cultural committee and a sports committee to conduct cultural & sports events every year for students & faculty members.
Annual games were conducted for all years of B.Tech, MBA and MCA branches in cricket, shuttle, table tennis, badminton and volley ball during the year 2005-2006 and prizes were distributed on the Sports Day conducted on April 13th 2006.

Interaction with Society

A special lecture on “Safety Rules” was conducted for B.Tech students on July 13th 2006. Sri. Mohan, Deputy Transport Commissioner, Chittoor, Sri. Ram Prasad, RTO, Chittoor participated in the program.
PMRY training programme – 16 batches
Computer training program for local doctors and government employees.
Blood donation camps – 4 times
Open house counseling for students & parents.
